As per Newmarket Today, Mayor John Taylor is urging Housing York to act quickly on affordable housing, leveraging declining mortgage costs and the new Canada Build Homes program to speed up projects like the 227-unit Bayview Parkway development.

Mayor John Taylor is calling on Premier Ford to keep speed cameras, highlighting how they effectively slow traffic, protect school zones, and save lives, while noting Newmarket’s careful, fair approach with public education, warning tickets, and limited fines shows the program isn’t a cash grab.
