How’s everybody’s first week of September going? It’s been a chilly one—these cold winds came earlier compared to last year. But even though fall is sneaking in, it won’t stop me from bringing you the roundup of what’s happening in the city and the events to look out for this week!

🚶 Tom Taylor Trail Gets An Upgrade

As per CTV News, a section of the pathway will be closed starting September 14th. This upgrade focuses on the overall safety and the durability of the trail. Only the stretch between Mulock Drive and Paul Semple Park will be closed, with signs in place to help people navigate around the work area.

❄️ Windrow Help for Newmarket Residents

The Town of Newmarket is accepting applications for its Residential Windrow Opening Pilot Program for the 2025/2026 winter season. This program is available to eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities who meet specific income criteria. The service will clear approximately 75% of each residential driveway when snow accumulation exceeds 6 cm, starting November 15, 2025
